Set in the near future, a series of earthquakes on the ocean floor threaten to create a repeat of the flood of Noah. But this time is different due to the storage of high level radioactive waste in these locations.
A scientist, Michael Erickson, seeks the source of the problem, but is kept from the information necessary to determine the cause because the deep ocean bed storage project is being run by a company with deep political connections to a powerful senator who secretly is profiting from the venture.
Erickson is convinced of his findings that the oceans are rising at an alarming rate and that all coastal areas are threatened by potential repeat of the flood of Noah. But his conclusions are rejected by the scientific community as being too alarming and not fully provable.
In an effort to convince his colleagues and the world of the pending threat, Erickson as the consequence of a strange dream seeks his answer in an exploration of the religious version of the flood myth with the belief that if it could be proven to be true that the people could react in time to save themselves.
In his search for an answer by exploring the various flood myths of varying religions and cultures, he finds himself overwhelmed by the vast expanse of information and conflicts. But through a chance meeting with an old man in the library, he is connected with Addison Silverthorne, an eccentric ex-professor of theology who has given up hope for Mankind. But Silverthorne is captured by Erickson’ s desire to pursue the flood myth and they join forces to pursue the clues as they arise.
What follows is a romp through religious theology and scientific fact that takes the two adventurers on a global journey to find the answer to the Great Flood myth.
Fast moving and action packed, the story takes the reader on a wonderful ride that blends scientific fact with religious lore to a stunning conclusion. Both entertaining and educational, this is a must read for those who love something more than just a story. Contained within the story is much food for thought as to what might be in our future and what could be our future.

Deluge eBook Michael Fjelstad Reviews
I am not a regular reviewer but saw that no one had yet made comment and thought I might as well be first.
In short, I really enjoyed this book.
It was an entertaining mix of history, ecology, geopolitics, cryptography, world geography and religion. The characters, I must say are a bit thinner than I like but they were likeable enough and the book's pace is good. There were also some scientific and timing lapses but I chalked that up to it poetic license to advance the story. It that regard it reminded me a bit of some of Dan Brown's more popular works. The ending was not what I expected but I admit it was very satisfying.
One thing that was very unusual in contrast to many of today's authors who seem to rely on profanity to carry the story is that the author appears to have written a PG rateable book that is more interesting and entertaining than many of today's adventure stories which seem to often to be laced with more cursing than might be heard aboard a merchant marine ship. I am not sure if it was intentional but applaud the result.
I am looking forward to more from this author.
