If you are a fan of Sgt Dunn, you can't wait to start the next episode. For WW II buffs, it is easy and enjoyable reading. Glad to hear Munsterman has retired and can write full time.
Sgt Dunn, is the WWII version of Rambo. If you wanted a good nail biter from beginning to end this is your jam. It was so good I couldn't put it down word to the wise adult diapers and you never have to stop;). Definitely better than a night of Al Greene and some hand lotion.
This is an excellent book by itself and I have to say that the Sgt Dunn novels are quite interesting and exciting to read. I am a fan of world war two stories and can hardly wait for the next Sgt Dunn book.
I could not wait to read Dunn series book #4 immediately after reading the first three or did not disappoint. Now I cannot wait to read the fifth. Hope it won't be the last of these Sgt. I love the characters and how the author brings history alive.
Yet again Mr. Munsterman gives us another great adventure. His books are quite literally a "book I couldn't put down." I read about 85% of it on a business trip to Mexico. I can't recommend this series enough. It gives a different view of events that transpired during WWII that you just can't get from the History or Military channel.
This has been an amazing journey through five novels. I'm not going to say anything which might give the series away but I will say that during my 7-year Army and 15-year Air Force career, I was fortunate to have had two NCO's who could have been Dunn and Saunders. Anyone who has an interest in WW2 should get this series. Fiction--yes; somehow too perfect to be true--yes; absolutely believable in presentation--yes; worth the time investment to read--absolutely yes.
Munstermann and Sgt Dunn are a much admired author and character to me. If you are a fan of historical action novels, do yourself a favor and read the Sgt Dunn novels from the first through this one. I only hope Munstermann can be persuaded to continue. The end of the war is a ways away and no doubt Dunn has always wanted to see Berlin!
